So in my friends garden this year she apparently decided to grow some basil. I love basil.
The only problem is she had no idea what to do after she had the basil planted. I then decided to point her to this great article on how to grow basil. It was a great help to me when I was growing it for the first time:
Basil is a tender half-hardy annual that is susceptible to frost damage. Because of this, it would be ideal to grow it in a pot to be brought indoors during cold weather. It prefers moist, well drained, rich soil and full sun. It also prefers a climate with moderate temperature extremes, but it tolerates heat better than cold. The first fall frost will kill the plant.
Do you have basil growing in your garden?
